Such egocentric individuals do not understand the importance of generosity and selfless acts towards their fellow beings. Their only focus remains on satisfying personal requirements, never realizing the hurt they inflict to others. Fundamentally, selfish people are perpetuate a society devoid of empathy as well as compassion.
